Blizzard Update

So we eventually got bored enough to venture out into the blizzard. The wind really was blowing hard (I guess that is why it is called a blizzard). We couldn't even keep our eyes open for pictures and Avery did not like the wind blowing in her face. Mom and Aunt Karla volunteered to take pictures and my cousin Sarah and I played in the snow. We were soaking wet by the time we were finished. Good thing for ski clothes!

Blizzard

The weather forecaster predicted a blizzard in the panhandle today and that's about what it looks like outside. All the schools are closed today. Casey went to work at 7:00am and just got home because there's not much they can do out in the blizzard. My Mom, Aunt Karla, and cousin Sarah came up yesterday and we were planning on going shopping today. Looks like we won't be getting out of the house anytime soon. I guess we will have to stay home, be lazy, and make chicken and dumplings (yum). Here are a few pictures of the white landscape in our backyard.

Spring Break Trip

This past week was our spring break, so Avery and I flew to Grand Junction, Colorado to visit Casey's parents Janice and Danny. We were disappointed that Casey wasn't able to go with us due to his work schedule. Avery did amazing on the planes and we even had to switch airlines in Denver so we ended up on 4 planes total. We had such a blast being spoiled by the grandparents and our trip seemed to fly by. We got home today and are resting up after our travels home. Casey was ready to see us and Avery was grinning ear to ear when we saw him at the airport. Here are a few pictures documenting our vacation.
We shopped down down Grand Junction. We ate out alot - this was a great pizza place.
We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and took Avery to the park.

Miss "independent." Her new phrase when she doesn't want my help is, "No, Avery do it,"
Dandad and Avery both enjoyed swinging at the park!
Snack time with Posey.

Eating peanuts at Roadhouse (yes, there is a Texas Roadhouse in Colorado).

We ate at Roadhouse for my birthday Friday - yum!
Me and Avery at the golf course. We didn't play this time, just hung out at the clubhouse. We had so much fun and are so thankful for wonderful grandparents.

More Avery

Avery and I went to Abilene last weekend. Yes, this post is a little late. Anyways, we had a blast and got to catch up with friends and family.
Avery loves playing "mom" and carrying her new infant carrier with her baby.
Nona with Avery and her sweet friend Brookelynn who is 6 months.

Having a snack with mom (obviously she just woke up).

Avery and her Nona!

Giving Brookelynn hugs... not sure how the baby feels about this??

Big helper.
Obviously Brookelynn is confused. Aren't her eyes gorgeous?
